The principle of anti-skid performance of FRP grille

FRP grating is a new type of composite material.  It is made of unsaturated polyester resin, fiberglass roving, fillers and other production materials by weaving and moulding on a metal mold.  It has many advantages, such as corrosion resistance, aging resistance, insulation and flame retardant, light weight and high strength.  In addition to these extraordinary functions, FRP grille still has a very practical function, namely excellent anti-skid performance.  According to the relevant investigation data at home and abroad, slip accident has accounted for the second accident rate.  In many different work scenarios, accidental slips have become one of the major causes of accidents, which can cause great economic losses to our lives.  The anti-skid performance of FRP grid depends on its manufacturing process.  Why is FRP grating skid resistant?

 

一、 The crescent surface of the FRP grating can prevent skid

In the process of making FRP grid, workers need to press sand manually, so one side (bottom side) of the FRP grid is flat, and the other side is the shape of a crescent moon caused by extrusion.  When the FRP grating is applied to the artificial walkway plate operating platform, the surface of the crescent can have the anti-skid effect.

 

二、 sand surface FRP grid skid resistant wear

Sand surface FRP grid is in the process of FRP grid production to add quartz sand, sand deeply embedded in the grid plate, anti-skid wear-resisting effect is better than the crescent surface FRP grid, applied to oil, slope environment or in a higher demand for anti-skid maintenance occasions. The manufacturing process of FRP grating anti-skid sand surface can be divided into two kinds: in-mold paving and post-demoulding paving. These two kinds of anti-skid grille have excellent anti-skid performance. Non-slip sand layer is strong and durable, not easy to fall off. The use of FRP molded grating anti-skateboard can make walking more safe and comfortable, and greatly reduce the chance of accidents caused by accidental slip.

It should be noted that the FRP grille on the sand surface needs to be booked in advance, because the finished FRP grille can no longer be used for sand disposal.

 

三、Closed type anti-skid cover plate – FRP grid cover plate

Cover plate appearance in FRP gratings as matrix, flat as a bearing surface, on the basis of the FRP grating glued on the decorative pattern of 3 mm thick plate, secondary processing, it is a closed type flat, flat on the eight pattern provides it with antiskid functions, and there’s a sand cover plate, also can rise to prevent slippery wear-resisting effect.
