FRP Rebar (GFRP) is a kind of fiber reinforced composite (Fiber Reinforced Polymer for short). Fiber reinforced composite is made of
high performance fiber, synthetic resin matrix and curing agent. High performance fiber is reinforcement material and synthetic resin
is matrix material. Fiber has high tensile strength, is the main provider of fiber reinforced composite strength, mainly play a load bearing
role, mainly divided into carbon fiber, Arlene fiber, basalt fiber, glass fiber and so on. The matrix material has the function of bonding
and transferring shear force, and its physical properties can affect the physical properties of fiber reinforced materials.

FRP Rebar is the base material including unsaturated polyester resin, vinyl ester resin, epoxy resin, polyamide resin, etc. Called the
FRP Rebar glass fiber reinforced composites reinforcement, is by the high performance of alkali content less than 0.8% of non-alkali
fiberglass roving or high strength glass fiber roving and resin (epoxy resin, vinyl resin, unsaturated polyester resin, etc.), curing agent,

Characteristics of FRP Rebar:
- High bearing capacity, strong tensile capacity, the strength of the bar body is twice that of the same diameter thread steel bar,
but the quality is only 1/4 of the steel bar; - The elastic modulus is stable, about 1/3~2/5 of the reinforcement;
- Electric insulation, thermal expansion coefficient is closer to cement than steel;
FRP Rebar in performance and steel bar is basically similar, and concrete has good adhesion, but also has high tensile strength
and low shear strength, can be easily cut directly by the composite shield machine, without causing abnormal tool damage. But
FRP Rebar and reinforced the biggest difference for the FRP Rebar elastic modulus is small, is a typical brittle material, the stress-
strain curve shows obvious linear relationship before fracture, greatly affected the stability of the FRP Rebar cage when lifting and
excavation stage of FRP Rebar continuous wall bending and shear bearing capacity.
Advantages of FRP Rebar compared with epoxy coated steel
Compared with reinforced material, FRP Rebar material has many advantages. At present, glass reinforcement has gradually replaced
steel in many fields, especially in the environment requiring corrosion resistance and electronic-magnetic field. Generally speaking, if
glass and steel are used correctly in the right place, the overall project cost will be greatly reduced.
- Light weight, high strength, light weight is only 1/4 of the weight of the steel bar of the same specification, but the tensile strength
is about twice of the load of the steel bar of the same specification. The labor intensity of workers is greatly reduced, and transportation
costs are also reduced. - Corrosion-resistant, corrosion-resistant bolt base materials are durable materials, and through the composite process molding. Service
life is up to 100 years. It can be used as permanent support material. - Cutting ability to avoid damage to cutting head and not delay driving; Antistatic, non-conductive, no spark when cutting, especially
suitable for high gas area. - The whole length of FRP bolt body is provided with equidistant thread, that is, “full thread”;
Flame retardant, high heat insulation, insulation, no magnetic field.

- Can be widely used in subway tunnel (shield), highway, bridge, airport, dock, station, water conservancy engineering,
underground engineering and other fields. - Suitable for use in sewage treatment plants, chemical plants, electrolytic cells, manhole covers, coastal defense engineering
and other corrosive environment. - Suitable for military engineering, secret engineering, special engineering, such as insulation demagnetization environment.
