FRP pultrusion equipment consists of six parts: creel, felt frame, dipping tank, mold heating and clamping device, tractor, and cutting machine. The most important part is the creel.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic untwisted coarse sand is the main reinforcing material required for pultrusion production. Creel is the main device used to place coarse sand balls. The creel is like a multi-layer bookshelf. The frame is welded by section steel. The partitions are connected to the frame with screws and divided into several layers. The yarn groups are placed vertically on the partitions of each layer. The longitudinal placement of the yarn groups is only limited by the longitudinal size of the yarn groups, while the horizontal placement of the yarn groups must facilitate the yarn changing operation. Usually, there are at least two groups in each row and as many as four groups in each row. A series of yarn guide channels composed of yarn guide plates or yarn tubes must be set up between the exit ends of the creel above the position of each sand ball, so that each strand of yarn can go its own way without confusion during the process of being pulled away from the creel. . The size of the creel can generally hold 100–200 yarn balls.
